Odyssey has experience with numerous aviation engagements in which it has represented both debtors and unsecured creditors' committees. As part of these engagements, Odyssey has analyzed the strategic plan and business operations of multiple airlines in restructuring situations.
In its capacity as advisor to unsecured creditors, it has performed detailed analyses and given advice regarding issues that commonly arise in distressed aviation situations such as accepting or rejecting aircraft leases, viability of the company's business plan and union issues.
Odyssey understands the scope and nature of claims arising from an airline bankruptcy. It served as the Chapter 11 Trustee in a regional airline bankruptcy proceeding in which it achieved 100% recovery for creditors and a partial recovery for prepetition equity holders.
